BronyCon 2014 – Booth 517

This will be Nsomniotic   3^rd year vending for BronyCon. While in years past she’s sold customs, this year she will only be selling Pony Loafs. Customs aren’t gone for good, but it will be a little while before life settles down enough to make them. CrazyTwin13 will be joining her, also selling pony loafs! As usual, emmisu  will be taking art commissions at the booth and selling small prints. If you want a commission stop by early!

Make sure to stop by the booth as we’ll be giving away coupons for our Etsy store!

Most importantly – we will be accepting commissions for OC pony loafs AT THE CON! Yes, that means we will take commissions for any ponies we don’t have premade (including OCs) that we have the fabric for and we will make them by the end of the convention! Now, space is limited for having them done for the end of the con so stop by early!

For anypony who wants a pony, but is unable to receive it at the convention (i.e. we get too many commissions!) we will create an Etsy listing for you and ship it to you free of charge! You can pay at the convention (cash, credit, etc) and be able to track shipping through Etsy! We mainly selected this option so that we don’t lose track of any orders, but also so that we can accept cash from con-goers who aren’t able to order online at a later date! The speed that these orders will ship depends on where you are on the list.

We hope that these options will be convenient for you!

Pony Loaf Commissions range between $45-$55 depending on complexity. Please bring a reference picture for us! We will have fabric at the table for you to choose from.

Art Commissions start at $20 for one character fully colored and go up from there depending on complexity and additional characters. These will all be hand drawn, inked and colored.

 

OzCreationz

As you may have noticed, we at OzCreationz have been doing a massive overhall. These past few months have involved weddings, a graduation, a funeral, a vacation, a move and a job change. Basically, it has been a bit crazy. Brittany now has a 9-6 job and Morgan is about to enter her freshman year at college, so life isn’t necessarily going to get too much less busy. However, we’ve decided that we want to full commit ourselves to OzCreationz. With that in mind we introduce you to our website!

Since I've been working on non-stop sewing orders, I haven't had a chance to finish working on any of my customs. Still, I'd like to get one out there for Christmas in case anyone is looking for a Christmas present so I decided to sell my Young Granny Smith. I made her about a year ago, though these are new pictures. I am selling her for the same price I would have accepted a commission - $85 + $7 Shipping. Please send me a note if you're interested!

However, in case anyone IS interested, as I was pulling Granny Smith out of Storage I found out that I have a Babs Seed, a Berry Punch and a Spitfire all waiting to be painted. Already sculpted and everything. I am not accepting money for them until they are finished, but if you are definitely interested in one let me know and I'll send you a note as soon as I get around to painting them

Pony Loaf Plushies!
While I will definitely make one or two customs before the Holidays pass, I really want to focus on my sewing right now. With that in mind, my cousin and I opened up some pony loaf listings in our shop! The prices vary from $40 - $50 (with only one priced at %50 right now) and they're $7 for priority shipping in the US. We're guaranteeing them by Christmas and with that in mind limited the number of orders we will take.

We have the store listing divided by price. The current ponies we have listed on there are the ones we already have fabric for and are able to make for Christmas. If you have an OC that uses any of these colors we will consider making it. Any further questions you can message us about.

Full sized Pony Plushies?
What has been holding us back from doing full sized pony plushies? Well, we already own all of valleyviolet's current patterns, but have been waiting until we could afford embroidery machines. After Christmas we should be able to not only add cutie marks to our Pony Loafs, but also to embroider eyes and cutie marks on full sized ponies!


Selling Young Granny Smith Custom
Haven't decided how to go about selling her yet. I won't lie, I love her, but I feel like now is the right time. Someone can get her in time for Christmas and I can then afford to buy someone else something for Christmas - seems like good times all around! If anyone is interested in her or has any suggestions as to how I should part with her. (DA auction where people post their offers in the comments? Flat out sell on etsy? Let people message me and take highest offer? Flat out sale on DA?)





Other Projects
*Highest Priority Right now is my Lightning Dust Quilt Square for 's Donation Quilt. I think I've finally gotten all the fabric, etc together and can now focus on putting it all together! I'd like to ideally have it done by the end of next week.
*I might also make a Venom Plushie for my Assistant Manager at Work.
*Finish a Spitfire Custom that just needs paint
*Finish a Babs Seed Custom that just needs paint (if you are interested in this one please message me - fillies are $50 + $7 shipping)
*Finish tons of Pony Loafs!


Life!
Thank you everyone for being understanding about what was going on with me this fall. While I was able to get all my orders sent out, they were almost all late, but everyone was very understanding. I'm currently on Workman's Comp for my ankle injury which is apparently worse than we first thought, but that means I can really focus on what I love doing - my crafts! So I will hopefully be knocking these out quickly!

I'm sorry I broke my promise to update everything a few weeks ago, but here is why:

My step-grandfather (through my dad) as well as my Grandaddy Glenn & Gran (my mom's parents) all died in the same week. My Gran had a stroke and it was because of her failing health, my Grandaddy Glenn being in a nursing home and my aunt down there being terminally ill that my mother and I made a last minute decision to fly down to Arkansas. I drove up to New York and we took a flight a day after we got the news about my Gran's stroke. We were able to see her while she was still able to speak, albeit with difficulty from the stroke. We arrived on Saturday night to see her. On Sunday we reconnected with my aunt and her daughters at the hospital and my mom & I were able to bring my cousin with us to visit Gran. Sunday night we took my Granddaddy Glenn out to dinner with those two grandchildren. We ate at the Crackerbarrel and he was so excited to have something other than nursing home food. Monday we visited my aunt and Grandaddy Glenn to say goodbye because we had to drive back to Memphis and fly back on a very early flight. As we pulled up into my Gran's nursing home we saw an ambulance. We found out that my Gran was inside because of deteriorating health and followed the ambulance. We were in the hospital with her until 4am saying goodbye. My Grandpa Don, her husband, was beside himself. We were able to push our flight back by several hours, but I had to be back on Wednesday. While we were down there my step Grandpa Ted, who had been suffering with ALS for the last 5 years, passed away. His funeral was Wednesday. We left with Gran in good hands in the ICU. I made it to the funeral on Wednesday on time, but during that funeral I got at call from my mom telling me that my Granddaddy Glenn had died of a heart attack during breakfast. Apparently he had just wanted to say goodbye. On Thursday night, late, my Gran (who had a DNR in place) died of stroke complications while the nurse was on the phone with my mom, Mom had just told her that she didn't have to wait on us if she was ready to go. Her funeral was the following Thursday, which my mother and I were able to fly down again for. My grandfather's memorial service was that Saturday. We had to fly back right afterwards. During that time we also had to go through their things in a limited amount of time. My Granddaddy Glenn was a marine and donated his body to science. Once his ashes are released to us in a few weeks he will be buried with full honors in Tennessee.

These past two weeks have been very rough on my mother and I. The travel alone would have been stressful, but losing almost all of my mom's family was very hard on us all. We were both just glad that we were able to say goodbye.

I want to thank our wonderful server at Crackerbarrel for making my Granddaddy Glenn's night wonderful. I want to thank Delta airlines and their wonderful employees for making it possible for us to fly down. I booked our flights in the wrong month because we were so stressed out and they waived all fees and just got us down there. They also waived all fees on changing our flight back. And to thank the wonderful nursing home and hospital staff that we dealt with. And most importantly to my work for being so understanding about my absences.

On a happier note my sort of adopted cousin Katy is getting married in Florida on Friday. My mom and I are also flying down for that because we are the photographers for the wedding! My mom used to be a professional photographer before she realized nursing was her calling. I will be her assistant with reflectors and also for candid shots. Despite my inability to take good pictures of my own work, I am actually quite handy with a camera. In any case we will be gone this weekend due to that as well.

I also completed and sent out my BronyCon Pony Loaf orders as did Morgan. We are now working on our Etsy orders. My assistant manager at work also requested that I make him a Venom Plushie. Which will be a fun challenge!

I'm looking forward to getting back to working on Plushies and Customs. Over the past few weeks whenever I have been home, I've been at work. And with the holidays coming up it isn't likely to get much better. Throw in my ankle sprain not healing correctly and it hasn't exactly been fun. However, I will be updated as soon as circumstances allow.

For my Watchers:

I have a couple of projects I'm in the middle of. (Two Pony Loafs and a Mystery Pony as well as a Spitfire Custom). I'll update with some pictures and possibly progress pictures over the weekend! Been spending all my free time working on them

I'll also respond to comments/notes/llamas/faves/etc this weekend. I'm not ignoring anyone, I just don't have time to read everything, but I will make the time! As soon as I get these things in the mail!
